In the Spring of 2009 Alaska's Taxidermy Outfitters won Best of Category (life-size mammal), Best of Show, Best All-Around Bear Award, and a first place ribbon in the Minnesota State Taxidermy Competition. Continuing on to the World Taxidermy Competition in Saint Charles Missouri, Alaska’s Taxidermy Outfitters received a second place ribbon in the professional division.

Morgan attributes his success at being able to produce an award winning show piece to his prior years of training at North American School of Taxidermy, and his years of working with master taxidermist Randy Hamson.
